Luis Mello

Nace en Montevideo (Uruguay), el 10 de junio de 1954. A partir de 1967 estudia dibujo y pintura con Sergio Curto y Esteban Garino. En el año 1972, ingresa como bocetista ilustrador en la Publicitaria Gallardo (Uruguay), trabajando al mismo tiempo para otras agencias de publicidad. Exposiciones y premios: 1975- Interviene en el Concurso para el proyecto de medallas del “Sesquicentenario de los Hechos Históricos de 1825”, otorgándosele Mención Especial (Uruguay). 1975- Es admitido en el Salón Municipal (Montevideo, Uruguay). 1978- Es admitido en el Salón Municipal (Montevideo, Uruguay). 1979- Obtiene Premio Adquisición en el I Salón de Pintura del Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay. 1980- A partir de este año comienza a realizar retratos por encargo. 1983- Comienza a Exponer en forma Colectiva en la Galería de Arte Portón de San Pedro, Montevideo.
